The Story Retreat features teaching, sharing, group work, discussion, and writing on the following topics: the universal story structure, character creations, tension building, setting development, dialog design, editing skills, and more​. Through idea exploration, game playing, and pairs exercises we'll work on your most important storytelling muscles together--and have incredible fun doing it.

For this retreat, we're absolutely thrilled to be working with Tranquility in the Himalayas, a breath-taking getaway looking out onto the legendary foothills of the most famous mountain range on Earth. Wake up to yoga in paradise (or sleep in!). In addition to the teaching and ample free time for your own creative writing you can experience all that the house and town have to offer. It's entirely up to you. The retreat fee is $950 per person and the rooms are shared (two to a room).
